Barnlägret startar kl. 11 på fredag (incheckning från 10) och slutar på söndag kl. 14.

Barn Budo (Children’s Budo)

Welcome to a workshop and discussion of teaching Aikido to children.

For the last 13 years I have done two things consistently: Teach in primary school and practice Aikido. For the last few years I have been given the opportunity at the Gothenburg Aikido Club to bring these two worlds together and teach Aikido to children. In this workshop I would like to share my teaching experience as well as the mistakes I have made along the way. There will be two sessions: The first will be theoretical and discuss the purpose of our training and discuss some pedagogical approaches to teaching techniques and principals. This session will be in the form of a lecture. The second will be practical, in the form of a regular Aikido class. Here I will demonstrate how I apply the pedagogy with the children on the mat.
